Steve Duffy was born in 1963. His short stories (which are getting longer all the time) have appeared in magazines including: Ghosts & Scholars, All Hallows and Supernatural Tales; in original anthologies such as Midnight Never Comes and Shadows and Silence; and in the Year's Best Fantasy & Horror series. In 1998 Ash-Tree Press published The Night Comes On, a collection of his Jamesian pastiches; forthcoming (November 2001) from the same press is The Five Quarters, a short-story cycle written in collaboration with Ian Rodwell. In 2001 Steve received the International Horror Guild award for Best Short Story.
